June is over and we’re already into July. If you watch my YouTube channel then you know I’ve been hunkered down and working on projects at home instead of running around. Part of that is because my daughter is out of school so I’m not driving into town every day.
For those of you who are new to the blog and are wondering what I’m talking about you can read the first post here. If you don’t want to read the whole thing here’s the gist. I’ve set a challenge to save enough with savings apps to pay for all of my Christmas gifts this year.
Here’s the June Christmas for Free Totals!
I’m going break the earnings down by each app and let you know my thoughts about going forward with each.
Let’s start with the lowest earner which is Target Circle. Not a huge shopping month for me at Target which makes sense because I’m not driving into town every day to take my daughter to school so Amazon deliveries are where most of my money is going. I only earned another 43 cents so now at $2.76.
Next up is Shopkicks – Referal Code: SAVE725778 . I’ve mentioned that this one is a slow earner for me. Most of the time I get what’s called “walk-in” kicks for walking into a store like Target. This month was slower than most months (again not going out much). I have 1,956 kicks which is enough for a $5 gift card, which is exactly what I had last month. So no additional earnings.
Next up is one of the new apps I’m using POGO. POGO it’s a data mining app and I know that people are uncomfortable with apps like this. I’m not. I figure everyone is using my data anyway I might as well get paid. And as you can see above every transaction counts for points. Right now I’m at $7.90 in earnings. This month is really feeling like fighting for every penny.
Next is Fetch Rewards Referal Code GB0QJ hands down one of the best apps for savings. This app give you points for every amazon order, and every receipt you scan. Including thrift store receipts. I have a lot of those. It’s one of my favorites because even if you don’t buy their preferred brand you still get 25 points for every receipts. This makes it supper easy to earn.
This month was another good earning month thanks to the Amazon integration and my Mother-in-Law signing up for Fetch. My earnings have increased from $53 to $62 on Fetch to use for Christmas. Not the best month but still better than pennies.
Upside Last month Upside was having so many issues that half my receipts didn’t get credited. This month I’m filling up less because again, I’m not driving my daughter to school every day. Still I was able to go from $68.60 to $78.92.
Next is Ibotta. June was a good month of earning on iBotta. My earnings went from $159.92 to $179.77. Can’t complain about an extra $19.85 in my pocket!
When a friends of mine signs up through my referral link and we both received a $10 bonus. You can get that bonus too if you sign up through my Ibotta referral link.
I just added Receipt Hog two months ago and I’m already at 10 (2 $5 gift cards since they don’t have a $10 level).
Like Fetch Receipt Hog gives you points for every receipt you scan and there are bonus drawings and Hog slots where you can win extra points each month. If you want to sign up use my referral code skemp327 and get some bonus points!
Other Savings
In addition to the savings apps, I’ve saved all the Target bonus cards I’ve received. No new ones this month so I have an extra $20 in these gift cards
The Grand Total for June!
Drum roll please! The grand total for January, February, March, April, May and June is $374.58!
It seems that I’m consistently earning at least $30 each month over all the apps. Some months are better than others. So far none of the months have been lower than that. If that pace continues then by November there will be another $150 added to that total. Fingers crossed!
I’m getting more confident that this year I won’t be paying anything out of pocket for my holiday gifts!
