You’re excited because you’ve started selling online and now you are ready to sell at a brick and mortar location. I’m excited for you!
This is such an exciting and nerve wracking time for you. I want to ensure you that I have your best interest at heart when I tell you don’t sign any contract until you’ve done your due diligence.
You can’t take an owners word that their location will generate traffic for your business. They want you to sign on the dotted line so they can get their money and possible out of a money pit.
I don’t want you inheriting that money pit.
In the past I have sold a few retail locations. On some I was too quick to sign on the dotted line. I was excited too and I believed the nice smiling owners who either just needed someone to fill and empty space in their mall or just didn’t care if I was a fit.
