For my Fox9 project, I wanted an Easter craft that kids will love. To create this project I used pages that didn’t get used from a 2025 planner, it’s simple and eco-friendly. Perfect for little kids and adults to work on together.
Cutting the Bunny & Egg Shapes
For this project I printed a half-bunny and half-egg template, with two bunny styles. If you’re good at free hand drawing you can do this without the template but I’m not.

Just fold the paper in half, trace and cut out your shapes.

Dyeing the Paper with Flavor

I colored the bunnies and eggs using flavored water enhancers (AKA- Kool-Aide). It’s a safe non-toxic way to color the paper. If you’re using construction paper or pretty scrapbook paper you can skip this step.

The paper wrinkles as it dries so I put the shapes between parchment paper and ironed them flat again. This process is best left for an adult because the iron has to be on high heat.

Decorating with Kids in Mind
To embellish these I added ric rac and vintage lace. If you don’t have embellishments in your craft stash, please go to the thrift store before you go to a craft store. The thrift store craft section has tons of usable craft supplies and they tend to have ric rac and lace in abundance.

I used a brush and mod podge to place the embellishment, but you can use school glue.

I know it’s messy and you might not want to let you kids to this but I edged all my figures with glitter. I LOVE glitter!

Adding Bunny Tails & Hanging
For bunny tails, head to the bathroom and grab some cotton balls. They are the perfect little bunny tails! Brush on some glue and stick the cotton balls in place.

The last step is to glue on jute twine for hanging. I used hot glue but you can use school glue (it will just take longer to dry). If you use hot glue then it should be supervised by an adult so little fingers don’t get burned.

That’s all there is. This craft is easy for kids and adults and such a great way to spend an afternoon away from screens. If you make these don’t forget to tag me if you post photos! I would love to see what you’re working on.
