These might be one of my favorite Easter projects yet. It combines two things I love vintage teacups and crafts! I’m a firm believer that vintage should be used at not just displayed. This is a great way to give delicate cups a purpose. These whimsical little flower cups make adorable table decor whether grouped as a centerpiece to at each place setting.

This is also a great project for kids to help with. There are no strict rules and no pressure to make it perfect. It is all about layering and having fun with it.

How to Make an Easter Teacup Centerpiece
Step 1: Fill the Base
Start by filling the teacup with floral foam. This give you something to set the flowers and greens in. I used a biscuit cutter to create a round that fits perfectly in the cup. Because I didn’t want to damage the cup or make this permanent I rolled a piece of tape to adhere the foam to the cup. If you have packing tape that will work perfectly.

Add a layer of moss on top to cover everything and create a finished base.

I did use hot glue to attach the moss to the foam being careful not to get any glue on the cup.
Step 2: Add Greenery
Place your greenery first. This creates the shape of your arrangement. I knew I wanted my bunny egg to look like it was hiding in a garden, so I made sure there were plenty of taller pieces standing up.

Step 3: Place the Bunny
Add your bunny next. This becomes the focal point, so place it where it is easy to see.

Again I used hot glue to make sure the egg stayed in place.
In place of this bunny egg you could place hand decorated easter eggs or a peeps bunny (use a toothpick to hold the peep in place).
Step 4: Add Flowers and Eggs
Fill in around the bunny with more florals and eggs. If you don’t have small plastic eggs you can use chocolate eggs wrapped in foil Use a mix of colors. This is where the arrangement starts to feel full.

Again I used hot glue to keep my eggs in place on the foam.
Step 5: Admire your handy work!
That’s all there is to it. You can add a name tag if you want to use these as place settings. Otherwise, you’re a genius! I can already tell yours will be beautiful. Just be sure to tag me with your creations!
Final Thoughts
This is one of those projects that looks more complicated than it is. A few simple materials can turn into something that feels special and personal.
Again, vintage items should be lived with. Yes, they are precious and beautiful but they can still be useful. Make one or make a few. They are hard to stop once you get started.
