Evapo-Rust Does it Really Remove Rust? Let’s Find Out!
You’ve seen the advertisements for Evapo-Rust everywhere but does it work? Let’s find out!I admit I”m a sucker for any gimmick. I want to try all of it from Flex Seal to Evapo-Rust. Any product that promises to make my life easier and I’m all in. Isn’t that what we all want?
When I saw the adverts for Evapo-Rust I was intrigued to say the least. A product that can strip rust down to the bare metal so that a piece is ready to be repainted? No sanding? No scraping? Be still my heart!
But Does Evapo-Rust Really Work?
The only problem with a gimmick is that so many of them don’t work. It’s just pouring money down the drain. Full disclosure I have wasted a lot of money trying these products. The good news for you is I am happy to share with you the results of all my testing and trying.
In my YouTube video below (you can check out my channel here) I try Evapo-Rust on a set of enamelware and East Lake door knobs. The Results were outstanding!
The first thing that struck me was that this product has no real smell to it. What I expected was something completely toxic smelling and that was not the case. There were no harsh fumes at all. I was able to use this in doors without a respirator. Yay!
How Long Does Evapo-Rust Take to Work?
I think this depends on the severity of the rust involved? I let mine soak for 2-days and the results were impressive. It did take the rust off the knobs.
